She ordered the Cooke City special pizza. It was ok. But the Wings were excellent! Jordan was our server and did great. They need more tvs for football season.
If you stop by Cooke city, go and visit this saloon restaurant. The staff is very welcoming, the decor is worth the decor and the dishes offered are excellent with great taste for a very reasonable price. We had dinner there two nights and should have gone back every day considering what other restaurants offer. Too bad I couldn't taste the pizzas because they are huge for $16 and can't be eaten by one person. Very nice surprise
Great place for food. We went here for lunch and was hoping to return during our stay but for some reason they were closed on the other day. We ate lunch and it was quite good. Service was good too. The waiter was friendly and we enjoyed our time there.. I was surprised they dont serve beef from Montana as it is too expensive for what our waited said.
We overnighted in Cooke City and luckily decided to dine here. From the moment we entered we were made to feel so welcome, after advice from the waitress I selected the Gamblers Amber which was excellent. The entire meal and especially service was first class. Highly recommended, I’m here on holiday from Scotland but would love to return. Thank you so much! 🏴👍
After an exhaustive full 12 hour day of exploring Yellowstone, we stopped here and ordered two pizzas to go and it was delicious! Service was excellent and efficient. We were pointed to the bar for to-go orders and we ordered a 'red neck' or their version of a meat lovers pizza and a white pizza and both were delicious and excellent value! While we waited we ordered drinks and listened to local chatter, which was fun! I highly recommend and will definitely go back!
This was a great find. Super good pizza for a reasonable price. Nice cozy atmosphere. Nice find in Cooke City. Very close to Yellowstone NE entrance.
Great, small town atmosphere. BarBQue pork sandwich was delicious! Very unique town with a good local crowd.
2 stops here during our stay. As others said burger was a little dry but the pizza was excellent. Service was not exceptional but acceptable.
Miner's Saloon has always been our go to place to eat in Cooke City when we travel to fish in Yellowstone every summer. I'm sorry to even write this review but felt that Miner's needs to know that they're not keeping up with the quality and experience of the past. We ate here two nights of our weeklong trip with friends and family (there were 5 of us). One ordered the pizza which was advertised as hand tossed and a "side salad". Others ordered buffalo and beef burgers. What we got was all disappointing (except for the beer which was great). The pizza was frozen dough which was obvious looking at the bottom. Ou...
Cooke City is a busy place with tourism in the summer. But we found the local dining was a bit of a food desert, limited menus and rushed servers. Not at Miner's! All the food we had was delicious and the service was consistently good! While on our stay it was our go to for dining in Cooke City.
Visited twice during a short stay in Cooke City. Really enjoyed the pizza & wings. We also tried a burger which was great. Friendly bartenders and a nice selection of beer. Definitely make time to visit when you’re in town or just driving through! *cash only*
Good food and atmosphere, especially for such a small town.
Pizza, wings and good drinks after an excellent day of playing in the pow, pow!!
Cool little bar and grill. Good service and a neat atmosphere. Burger had too much cheese on it (never knew that was possible, apparently it is with American cheese) but great fries and beer.
Visiting Cooke City since we're driving on Lamar Valley, and it is at the very end of the road. This is the only place that's open on Sunday noon. We're amused by the board of negative reviews outside their restroom. The service was more than adequate and the burger (had the buffalo) was tasty. Price wasn't bad considering how isolated this place is in winter. Would definitely come again if I'm in Cooke City.
I've had a few things from their menu but the burger stands out the most. Easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. I highly recommend going here! Great atmosphere and great food!
Great place!!I used to work there as a cook back in 2008..Raz is a very good man, I remember his steaks and pizzas!! Yummy!!! Yeah, guys, if you remember Olga , it is me :) saying Hi to all of you( Raz,Amy, Nennet,Brian,Kenny...))I left the USA in 2009, maybe one day will come to Cooke city to visit you guys!
Unique old bar in a small town. Atmosphere was different, as it also housed a casino. Food was typical bar food, but good. Did have a good craft beer selection. Inexpensive, but a very limited menu.
A 3.5 is really more accurate. Staff was friendly. Pizza and burger were OK. The Sallon was heartily recommended, but not so sure it deserves that. I'd recommend checking menus at other nearby places too.
I think this is 'the place' to be in Cooke City. Seems to be where the locals stop, and when I was there the bartender and food service was top notch.
I'm not from Montana. I'm not even from the US. But as a foreigner, this is exactly how I imagined a true country side saloon.Had the Buffalo Burger and some Amber Ales and it was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend tried one of their pizzas (which were actually recommended to us by a local friend of ours) and she loved it!
